8 DAYS IN QUITO-ANDES CORDILERA-COCA-AMAZONIA FOREST
After a technical stopover at Bonaire, my arrival at Quito was exciting
Cause i knew that i was starting the most dangerous and wonderful adventure trip of my life but also painful due to altitude with 2850m that prevents me to breath easily.
Quick shower and a 4x4 Pick up me for crossing Andes Cordillera and its vertiginous roads with beautiful lake muntains..
You will see IMABURA Mountain on the road towards "La mital del mundo" Point 0 of the globe
I am always interesting on local animals in their natural environment as this lama.
Here we are, after crossing special flora environment.
El mitad del mundo ( point zero of the world )
And the colored and rich Otovalo market with Quechua Indian craftsmen.
Break lunch at Mi Otavalito direction: Calle Sucre y Morales then a night in Quito city before joining Coca with Icara jetCoca still amaizing with his clubs ,delicious street food and really dangerous vibes but it does not stop me to talk with natives.
the presence of toucans and macaos remind me of the goal of my trip, immersion in the jungle to meet huaorani community.
I can't imagine that tomorrow my childhood dream come true.
On the roof of a truck, with a magnificent view overlooking the green surroundings , we drive from El Auca to the motor boat on one of affluent's Amazon river during 2.30 hours for joining Uma ( communautary indian house ). Our local base before the great immersion with wood canoe for 6 days.
Only the roar of a big cat (jaguar) disturb the peace that evening, no light, no phone, no radio, no tv, no internet, just the Jungle and the sounds of the wildlife and nature..Will be difficult to sleep without doors or windows surrounded by dangerous animals.
Jungle survive instructions by local guide.
.Incredible strange and endemic fauna
With specifics characteristics
Time to find food in the forest for the dinner
During the piranhas fishing ,Hawa an huaorani indian explain me that at each time we saw Hoatzin birds it mean we are onYacumamas (anacondas) territory but close Hawa i was not afraid.
I have only catch one Piranhas.
We have tasted it at dinner fried and cooked by Judy our cooker all during the 6 days wood canoe trip to meet Kampéri.
Judy
Wildlife natural safari along amazonia started with tapirs difficult to take in picture ....
We were forced to sleep without modern accomodations even our spanish gude was very afraid of Tigery people.
We were more safety along the river in the night than in the jungle cause river belongs to evryone. And it's respect by all communities...And sometimes we swim in the amazonia to refresh ourselves and have fun, despite the constant danger ....A great test for me but it was unforgettable
coundocia a taki monkey favourite fruit similar to corrosol fruit scent allow me to forget the chicha so special flavour
My face has been painting by Penti with urucu use in cosmetic for lipstick make upKampéi Awar the father of Penti, Great Amazonia Chaman, asked me to stay and live with them caus i was always smiling. His invitation to stay touch me and honour me sincerly. It's always sad to leave, but part of my spirit is there and the message of peace is conveyed. Foreign investors must respect more those humans. They are so intelleigent, warm and in harmony with the jungle.
Kampéri explains us how to survive in the jungle how to avoid the pitfalls of the jungle, such as holes covered with leaves and vines green snakes, also how to identify fruits and edible plants or how to heal with mixtures of tubers and leaves
Return with lot of memories and wise teachings from the garden of one major forest of our village during this immersion far away civilization.
Social life is better. Men and women are authentic and open nice and it's very poignant to know that those who do not respect their lifestyle, threaten these guardians of a part of the treasure of humanity.
Amazonia sunrise let dream for another great adventure trip coming on 2015.
It is vital to preserve all rainforest over our village and I believe in the human will...
Cheers! Mosoi Watapi sumaj kausay kachun 2012
